Sarjeant Gallery Membership
We extend an invitation to you to become a subscribing Member of the Sarjeant Gallery as an extension of your interest in Art and the Gallery’s activities
Gifted to the people of Wanganui by Henry Sarjeant in 1912, this magnificently proportioned building with its unique, naturally-lit galleries continues to be one of New Zealand’s finest exhibiting galleries. It has a broad-based collection with many important features of 19th and 20th Century Art that is actively being further developed, especially in the area of contemporary New Zealand Art.
Members assist the Sarjeant Gallery by supporting its exciting exhibition and activities programme.

Patron
Patron Membership provides an opportunity for supporters who wish to benefit the gallery by providing an annual tax-deductible donation to assist Collection acquisitions while at the same time receiving all the benefits of membership.
In addition to Member's benefits, Patron Members receive:
- Invitations to Members and their invited guests to a function hosted by Gallery staff at which artworks acquired are presented and their relevance to the Permanent Collection discussed.
- Exclusive invitations to Patron and Corporate Members to attend curator's private viewings of selected exhibitions.

- Exclusive invitations to Corporate and Patron Members to attend Curator’s private viewings of selected exhibitions
- By arrangement Gallery staff will conduct personalised tours for small groups of Corporate Members and their clients during open hours
